Katherine Saragosa obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Latin from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1996. Upon graduation, Ms. Saragosa worked as a medical assistant with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in the pediatric and internal medicine departments. Ms. Saragosa decided to further her education by attending the combined Physician Assistant and Master of Sciences program at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.


Ms. Saragosa received her clinical training at prominent hospitals in the New England area including the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock dermatology department in Manchester, New Hampshire. She completed her studies in 2001 and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms. Saragosa attends many lectures and conferences in order to remain current with today's latest treatment for skin care; in 2007 she successfully completed all of the requirements for recertification.


Since her certification as a Physician Assistant, Ms. Saragosa has been practicing solely in dermatology. She spent three years at a dermatology center in Brookline, Mass. where she performed a combination of medical, surgical and cosmetic procedures. Since leaving that practice in the summer of 2004 she has been a part of the team at the Ellerin Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology Center in Burlington, Mass. Ms. Saragosa continues to provide a broad range of adult and pediatric dermatologic services from routine skin cancer screenings and care of common skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema, to biopsies and removal of skin lesions, warts and skin cancers, to laser vein therapy and Botox treatments.


Ms. Saragosa is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Massachusetts Association of Physician Assistants.


Outside of work, Ms. Saragosa enjoys spending time with her son, Adam, daughter Leah and husband, John.
