Non-Surgical Facelift Treatments
We offer a wide range of non-surgical facelift and skin rejuvenation programs. They are both
office and home-based depending on the complexity and need for medical
supervision during the treatment.
Office Treatments
These may be used alone, in combination or in series.
Microdermabrasion
- Targets outermost layer of skin (Keratin).
- Thins, smoothes and dissipates blocked follicles.
- Produces a smoother appearance, dislodges debris and allows
better penetration of topical treatments.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Mild to Moderate Chemical Peels
(Beta lift and AlphaHydroxies)
- Targets the upper level of the epidermis and openings of the
follicles (works at a slightly deeper level than Microdermabrasion).
- Removes aging, sun damaged and acne damaged cells in the epidermis.
- Results in tighter, healthier (glowing) skin.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
EpiFacial(Photofacial) Photo-rejuvenation
- Targets the skins collagen layer.
- Softens scarred collagen allowing it to rise up and fill-in
depression scars on the skins surface.
- Stimulates the production of new collagen that stretches and
helps to eliminate wrinkled skin.
- Reduces redness by heat-sealing damaged capillaries.
- Reduces blotchiness and discoloration by breaking up pigmentation.
- .
Collagen Infusions
Collagen is a filler substance that targets deep channels, grooves,
indentations and folds in the skin.
- The best target for
this treatment is the fold located between the nose and mouth
(called the nasal-labial fold).
- A pretreatment skin
test is required for this procedure. This test requires 1 month
to read. Its a good idea to have the test well
before you are considering treatment to avoid a month long delay.
- The most effective
approach for this treatment is to begin with concentrated (Zyplast)
collagen followed-up in six to eight weeks with regular
collagen (Zyderm) overlay. This technique enhances the effect
while providing longer lasting results.
- Collagen treatments
are not a permanent solution and follow-up (maintenance) treatments
are required.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Restylane®
Restylane® is the first and only dermal filler in the U.S. composed of NASHA™ gel, Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. It’s proven to give long-lasting correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds.
- Documented results that last six months, or even longer.
- Excellent safety profile.
- Over one million treatments worldwide.
- No allergy testing required.
- A simple, convenient procedure.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Botox
(a muscle relaxant)
- Most effective in
treating deep wrinkles at the top of the nose (collagen cannot
be used here) and many, but not all, forehead wrinkles.
- Treatment is particularly necessary when collagen does not
provide long lasting results (approximately six to eight months)
- This treatment only relaxes muscles for limited period of time,
and follow-up treatments are necessary. As with collagen treatments,
the interval between treatments varies among individuals.
- No patient pretest is required.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Home-based Treatments
AlphaHydroxy Acid
(Glycolic acid)
- Targets the loose, rough aged and sun-damaged outer (keratin)
skin layer. Can be likened to a home Microdermabrasion
treatment.
- Most effective strength for this treatment is a solution of
20%. Most over the counter products contain a concentration
of less than 10% this strength is usually not very effective.
- Some brief stinging is normal when these products are first
applied.
- This treatment is normally applied in the morning.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Topical Vitamin-C
(available as a gel, solution or cream)
- Stimulates collagen production. It is important to be faithful
and persistent with this treatment it may take as long
as six to eight months before results are visible.
- Our topical vitamin-c treatments are delivered in a special
vehicle allowing them to pass through the epidermis
and into the collagen layer. Most other topical vitamin-c treatments
are less effective as they never reach the collagen layer.
- This treatment also functions as an antioxidant neutralizing
destructive, sun induced compounds know as free-radicals.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Afirm
(Retinol in the Retin-A family)
- Targets the cellular epidermis and corrects sun-damaged, pre-cancerous
cells.
- Available in three strengths depending on individual skin sensitivity.
- This treatment is always applied just before going to bed.
- Treatment can be alternated nightly with topical vitamin-c.
- There is no patient downtime with this treatment.
Platinum Series
(daily skin care kit)
- Includes all of the important cleansers, moisturizers and antioxidants
in milder, hypoallergenic formulations.
- An easy-to-follow usage menu is included along with complete
descriptions of each of the products in the kit.
- This skin care regimen can be used every other day, alternating
with stronger treatments giving your face a medication holiday
while still providing essential care and benefits.
